Pushing through

Do you find yourself in doubt sometimes?
When these moments shadow us and we are short on belief, this is natural. But we must overcome this doubt or run the risk of it festering within. If you are a leader, it can spread like a virus and infect your team!
To push through, try this four-fold approach from the Arthashastra, written over a thousand years ago by Chanakya:
1) Discernment
In Sanskrit, we call this viveka: the unique ability to discern the real and unreal, which sets humans apart from other living beings.
Begin with an open mind by emptying your cup, including all the fears and expectations that inhibit you. Tell me: without expectations, can you have disappointment?
Only when you come to terms with who you are and accept reality, will you then realise your purpose in life. So learn to accept more and expect less.
2) Analysis
Once you have figured out what you want to do, research it, analyse it, then adopt a way to reach your goal.
If you are going to be a network marketer, be a sponge and absorb everything you can about the subject. How else can you succeed?

3) Total focus
When an archer takes aim, have you noticed that he remains completely focused on the target?
Nothing else exists: not the wind, the sun, or the birds. Whether the arrow hits the target is secondary.
Instead of obsessing over the final result – such as when the big cheques will roll in – you shouldfocus on putting in your best effort to achieve that goal.
4) Reaping hard-earned rewards
Have you noticed that the great leaders naturally attract followers? This magical force is what we call charisma.
When you have gone through the first three steps, you too will be able to attain this powerful quality. Once you have undergone this journey of self-discovery and discipline, you too would have built a bank of resolve.
This bank is something you can draw from at any time, to help you push through any fears, through any doubts… through anything!
Have you tried the four-fold approach? Tell me how it works for you.
